Builders Association of Elkhart County

"Professional" is a word commonly used to describe members of the BAEC. Professionals are well-rounded business people committed to be as knowledgeable as possible about their profession. You can expect professionals to know what they are doing and to do it in an upstanding, efficient manner, following standard, accepted practices. Professionals develop businesses designed to provide outstanding long term service and must invest heavily in skills and relevant educational opportunities.

The BAEC is committed to increasing professionalism within the building industry. To that end the BAEC offers a wide variety of educational programs for its members and supports our local schools and associations in their efforts to train future professionals for the industry.

In collaboration with the IBA (Indiana Builders Association), and NAHB (National Builders Association), BAEC members can follow a course of study to set them apart and gain skills and certifications as follows:

Certified Graduate Associate (CGA)
Certified Graduate Builder (CGB)
Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR)
Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)
Graduate Master Builder (GMB)
Graduate Master Remodeler (GMR)
Certified Green Professional (CGP)
Master Certified Green Professional (MCGP)

The BAEC also serves as a knowledge base for educational seminars in specific localities being offered by its local association members.

Education is at the core of every profession. Achieve the highest level of professionalism, participation, leadership and business profitability within the dynamic building environment using a variety of educational resources offered through the BAEC.

Being a part of a Home Builders Association allows your employees the opportunity to further their education on topics within the building industry. To this end the BAEC offers various seminars and classes throughout the year on topics such as green building, remodeling, lead paint, and more.
