Member Services:

  • BAEC members become part of the Team of Professionals, working together for the industry. They form a camaraderie which enables even competitors to learn from each other.
     
  • Monthly newsletters from BAEC, Indiana Builders Association (IBA), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Advertising space available in each.
     
  • BAEC Room Use: Members may use the meeting room and kitchen at the association office at no charge during the workday-up to twice a month, if the room is not in use. A minimal fee is assessed for the space weekday evenings and weekends.
     
  • BAEC Information Rack: Display space available at the BAEC office to advertises products and services of member firms, helpful to the general public and to other members.
     
  • Monthly Membership Meetings: A meeting held once a month- a great way to network with fellow members. Guests are always welcome. Meals area paid for as they are used.
     
  • Membership Directories: Available to members along with advertising space.
     
  • Guide to Builders and Neighborhoods in Elkhart County: A listing of builders and neighborhoods in Elkhart County, with crucial information about builders and neighborhoods in Elkhart County. Free to the general public. No cost to members for listings.
     
  • Guide to Associate Members Products and Services: An in-depth guide of members? products and services, given to the general public. No cost to members for listings.
     
  • Parade of Homes/Neighborhood Showcase/Remodelers Showcase: Events which offer advertising and exposure to members only, for new housing construction, neighborhoods, and the remodeling industries.
     
  • Golf Outing: An annual event taking the place of the July general membership meeting. Open to members and their employees only.
  • Associates Council: A group of members whose goal is to provide structure and support to the promotion of open communication between Associates and Builder members.
     
  • Remodelers Council: A group of members dedicated to the remodeling industry, who meet 6 times a year. Their public relations project each year is the Rampathon- providing handicap accessible ramps for persons who cannot provide the ramps by themselves.
     
  • Systems Built Council: Association members who are builders, manufacturers, or suppliers of components to the systems built industry.
     
  • Womens Council: Spouses and employees of BAEC members who assist the association when needed; they also provide scholarships to members, their employees and their families annually.
     
  • Home Improvement Show Plus: An event which gives members first opportunity for booth space and reduced booth space costs, usually held in March at the Concord Mall.
     
  • Quality Programming: The association provides speakers at the monthly General Membership Meetings, occasionally sponsored by member firms. February is devoted to Table Top Night, highlighting associate members and the products and services they provide.
     
  • Educational Seminars: A series of programs addressing specific issues that affect the membership; sponsored by member firms in the association; free to members and their employees.
     
  • Indiana Builders Association: All member firms are members of the state association. In addition to providing political and regulatory support, IBA sponsors an annual Midwest Builders Convention. They also promote the Graduate Builders Institute (GBI) and Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) series of educational programs.
     
  • National Association of Home Builders: All member firms are members of the national association. Educational benefits, political involvement, an annual Convention, and access to relevant information to the construction industry are some of the benefits of membership.
